Shipping & Delivery

KB's Animal Treats offers shipping across New Zealand in compliance with local regulations.

Shipping Fees
  • Free Shipping: we offer free shipping on all online orders over $120.00 within New Zealand (exceptions apply for oversized and fragile items).

  • Delivery Charges for Orders Under $120.00: Orders below $120.00 will incur standard delivery charges.

  • Oversized & Fragile Items: Free shipping does not apply to oversized or fragile items. These products may require additional freight surcharges due to size or weight restrictions. Please contact us for a quote on shipping charges for such items.

  • Frozen & Perishable Products: These items are available for pickup only. In limited cases, we may be able to arrange shipping to certain areas within New Zealand, but additional charges for chilled and frozen goods shipping will apply. Please note: We will not be responsible for any perishable goods damaged in transit if not delivered on time.

 
Delivery Timeframes
  • General Delivery: You can expect to receive your order within 2-7 working days for most locations. Rural and remote areas may take longer. Local deliveries (including surrounding areas from Rotorua) are often delivered overnight.

  • Courier Service: Our couriers do not operate on weekends or public holidays.

  • Urgent Orders: If you have an urgent request or need express delivery, please contact us prior to placing your order. Additional shipping charges may apply for express services.

 
Legal Compliance and Consumer Rights
  • Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA): As per the CGA, you are entitled to receive goods that are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If any product does not meet these standards, we will offer a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances.

  • Fair Trading Act 1986: Under the Fair Trading Act, we are committed to ensuring that all descriptions, promotions, and pricing are accurate and not misleading. If you believe that a product has been misrepresented, please contact us immediately.

  • Delivery Liability: Once the products are handed over to the courier, the liability for any damage during transit rests with the courier. However, under the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017, we will work with you and the courier to resolve any claims for goods damaged during shipping.

 
Important Notes:
  • We can only deliver within New Zealand.

  • We do not deliver to PO Boxes or destinations outside of New Zealand.

  • Occasionally, product availability may be impacted by production schedules. In such cases, we will notify you with an estimated time of arrival, and you will have the option to proceed with your purchase or cancel your order.
